Drill Hole Low in bed

I must be the only customer that decided to place the connector plug socket a bit higher in the bed. I figured I didn't want it damaged by shifting cargo. Directions to install the Hopkins 41157 Endurance 5th Wheel Wiring Kit are a bit misleading. "Drill hole in desired location." I went a bit high on the truck bed wall-that's where Ford puts them when ordered that way. Apparently there's not enough backspace between the inner and outer truck bed wall. I fabricated a spacer plate and it works - but could have saved me some time if the installation instructions said to place the hole lower.
